Licensing and registration requirements by State

New South Wales

Brokers operating in NSW must be aware of the Consumer Credit Administration Act 1995 which provides a negative licensing regime.

There is no obligation for a broker to obtain a licence or register, rather if a broker acts improperly, they may be prevented from conducting business, pretty much in the same way as if they had had a licence cancelled.
